The ULS device can be purchased as an independant device. The switch portion has a metal plate with which it can be appropriately placed on the hoist (screw on or weld) The rising block (hook) lifts the weight of the switch causing the switch mechanism to open. This can be used to drop out the mainline contactor, the UP contactor, UP signal or a signal to a variable speed drive such as Power Electronics® Micro-Speed® drives for overhead hoists etc. This device, can save thousands of dollars in maintenance and repair costs per year. This device does not substitute regular hoist maintenance, proper hoist use and regular OSHA hoist safety inspections. One option (see LL wire rope load limits section) the Ultimate Upper Limit Switch can be directly attached to the wire rope Load Limiter when ordered with that option (ISI factory will install on the LL wire rope load limit). The Ultimate Upper Limit Switch can be used in series with existing hoist upper limit switches as an extra "ultimate" to paddle type etc. The standard length of cable is 6'.

Add the N/C & N/O contacts (3 wire) option if you wish to directly turn on a signal light, alarm or buzzer.
